Product Description

Deep Draw Press Machine

A deep draw press is a high-performance metal forming machine used to transform flat sheet metal into cylindrical or complex hollow shapes. This deep draw press machine is widely applied in aluminum cookware, automotive parts, and industrial container production.

Compared with traditional stamping, the deep draw press provides better material flow and reduces cracking, making it ideal for precision metal forming.

Working Principle of Hydraulic Deep Drawing Press

The deep drawing press uses controlled hydraulic force to push a punch into metal sheets, forming them into desired shapes through dies.

Key advantages of this deep draw press machine include:

  • Stable forming pressure
  • High precision control
  • Reduced material waste
  • Suitable for complex shapes

How to Choose the Right Tonnage for Aluminum Cookware

Selecting the correct press tonnage is one of the most critical decisions in cookware manufacturing. Too little force causes incomplete draws and wrinkling; too much can crack the blank or damage the die. Based on our field experience with cookware factories across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, here is a practical guide using our two core models:

NS-40 (32-Ton Nominal Pressure) — Best suited for small-to-medium aluminum pots and pans with a drawing diameter up to 420 mm and depth up to 220 mm. Typical applications include 20–26 cm diameter saucepans, milk pots, and shallow frying pans. The 32-ton blankholder force provides sufficient clamping for 1.0–2.0 mm aluminum sheet without tearing.

NS-55E (55-Ton Nominal Pressure) — Recommended for larger cookware items such as 28–36 cm stockpots, pressure cooker bases, and deep woks, where the drawing diameter reaches up to 580 mm and depth up to 280 mm. The higher tonnage accommodates thicker blanks (up to 3.0 mm) and multi-stage draws without compromising cycle speed (10 strokes/min).

Rule of thumb: For every 100 mm increase in drawing diameter on 1.5 mm aluminum sheet, expect to require approximately 8–12 additional tons of blankholder force. When in doubt, contact our engineering team for a free tonnage calculation based on your product drawing.
